GBL maintains modern drilling and soil-rock sampling equipment!

GBL maintains modern drilling and soil-rock sampling equipment designed for site investigation purposes according to the latest technologies. The investigations are conducted whether there are more challenging areas or blocked sites accomplished by expertise and more sophisticated equipment; the sampling processes may include disturbed and undisturbed sampling, CPT, expansion, strength, and permeability testing. Afterward, all samples are handled in the laboratory to complete the testing cycle.

We have conducted thousands of site investigations for a wide variety of projects – from residential buildings, roads, special structures to governmental facilities with knowledgeable personnel, right condition equipment and tools, data management, and proficient reports.

  • Atlas Copco AirROC-T35 tophammer drill rig.
  • Ingersoll Rand AirROC-D50 tophammer drill rig.
  • Double tube core barrels (412, HWF, SWF, NWF, TNW & HQ).
  • Triple tube core barrels (HQ3).
  • Split barrel tubes with cone accessory for Standard Penetration Test (S.P.T.) and Cone Penetration Test (C.P.T.) according to ASTM D 1586-84 (Reapproved 1992).
  • Thin wall tubes for soil sampling (Shelby tubes).
  • U100 sampling system with heavy-duty sliding hammer for obtaining 100mm diameter samples.
  • Piston samplers 3 inches. Diameter.
  • Vanes with various dimensions for field vane shear test according to ASTM D 2573-72 (Reapproved 1978).
  • Casing with various outside diameters and lengths.
